本当は中国の干支にパンダ年なんかないということ。
去年の10月におばあちゃんが亡くなって、遺品の整理してたら自分宛の手紙が出てきた。

「喪子へ。
　もし４０才までに結婚できないようなら、蔵の２階の一番奥の箪笥の下から２番目の
　引き出しに喪子名義の通帳が入っています。
　女が一人で生きて行くのは本当に大変なことだけど、悪いことではありません。
　今、喪子の仕事は順調なようだけれど、職を失う等お金に困ることがあればそれを使いなさい。
　贅沢をしなければ暮らしていける額にはなっています。
　結婚して子供ができて、お金にも困らないようだったらそれは自分の子供のために使って
　くれたら嬉しく思います。
　最後に、中国の干支にはパンダ年はないということです。騙すつもりはありませんでした。
　私もおじいさんに言われてずっと信じていたのです。
　でも「パンダ年なんてかわいいね」って喪子と語り合ったのはいい思い出になりました。
　ちなみに、台湾にはちゃんと猫年があるそうなので大丈夫です。
　喪子は私にひ孫を見せられないのを申し訳なく思っていたようだけれど、私は喪子という
　孫と暮らせてとても穏やかで温かい人生を送ることができたのですよ。
　ありがとう。喪子の健康と幸せを心から願っています。
